Baku, Azerbaijan – July 15, 2025 — Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty, has arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations between the two Caspian states.
The visit follows an official invitation extended by President Ilham Aliyev in May 2025, underscoring the importance Azerbaijan places on its strategic partnership with Turkmenistan. During his stay in Baku, Berdimuhamedov is expected to hold high-level meetings with Azerbaijani leadership, focusing on cooperation in energy, transport, trade, and cultural exchange.
This visit is seen as a continuation of the long-standing friendship and shared historical and cultural values between the two nations. Both sides are expected to reaffirm their commitment to regional stability, economic development, and multilateral collaboration in the Caspian region.
