President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh arrived in Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek on a state visit on July 20 according to the official Page of the Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and AkiPress.
He was welcomed at Manas International Airport by President Sadyr Japarov, according to the official press service.
As part of the visit, a cultural concert was held featuring performances by Kyrgyz artists, showcasing both Kyrgyz and Mongolian music according to Akipress.
During his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh is scheduled to meet with President Sadyr Japarov and other top officials, including parliamentary and cabinet leaders.
The visit includes a series of diplomatic meetings and the signing of agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors. A business forum will bring together Kyrgyz and Mongolian entrepreneurs to explore trade and investment opportunities.
The visit is seen as a step forward in strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. Moreover, Mongolia wants to become an integral part of Central Asia. A request has been made to the EU. These two countries share strong historical and cultural ties, and political and economic partnerships will increase according to Abdullo Janob (2025, July 17). Since 2023, Mongolia has been actively deepening its political relations with Central Asian countries according to Gagaa, A. (2025, June 30).
Gagaa, A. (2025, June 30) wrote that “For Mongolia, closer relations with Central Asia offer several advantages: expanding its circle of political allies, diversifying trade routes and business partnerships, and reinforcing its cultural and historical ties across the steppe“.
